Speech is the most powerful medium to express your feelings, may it be the expression of love, anger or the quest to explore the world with the upcoming technology. Speech is most precious gift of God to the mankind, which makes the homosapiens stand above all the animate creatures in this world. Speech is the power: speech is to persuade, to convert, to compel. It is to bring another out of his bad sense into your good sense. For mankind, speech is meaningful and committing, more than the content communicated. The outcry of the newborn and the sounds of the bells are fraught with mystery more than the baby’s woeful face or the venerable tower.

The prerequisite of the event is the enrollment of 2 participants from a college With Having No Bounds On Number Of Teams from each colleges.

The program will consist of three rounds -:

Extempore: The round will judge the speaking skills, confidence and presence of mind of the participant.

Debate: This round judges the overall speaking skill of the participant and helps us to develop decisive awareness

• Topic: “TATA’S NANO, The small wonder— a boon or a threat”

Jam (just a minute) session: The round tests the fluency of the speaker.

Best for/against - Rs.3000

2nd best - Rs.1500

NOTE-: EACH COLLEGE TEAM CONSISITNG OF TWO MEMBER PARTICIPANTS SHOULD HAVE ONE 'FOR' AND 'AGAINST' THE MOTION. tOP FIVE TEAMS WILL MARCH TOWARDS THE DEBATE ROUND.

Extempore:

• Instant assignment of topics.
• Topics will not be changed.
• Time limit 2 minutes.
• Person will be judged as per the format.

Jam Session:

• Instant assignment of topics.
• Topics will not be changed.
• Speaker to speak just for a minute.
• In case of stammering the opponent can jam and proceed on the same topic.
• The session will continue until a minute is reached.
• One person can jam only once for one topic.
• Bonus credit will be given if someone completes a minute for the opponent’s topic.

Debate:

• No paper reading.
• Time limit – 10 minutes for speaking, 3 minutes for rebuttling.
• Credit will be awarded as per the format.
