You punched paper tape by hand with Babbage, you programmed a Commodore 64 when you were just a tot, you were the first on your block to know XHTML, you hack UNIX like a pro, and you only use Terminal.app in Mac OS X. Well, it’s time to see what useless information you’ve absorbed along with the useful stuff. Then come join us at iQuiz, the place to test your knowledge of high-tech and computer trivial quiz. Weird facts, unusual information, bits and pieces of miscellany that we've been accumulating for ever and ever will now come to its potential use with the uncommon knowledge that's kind of fun to read, and shall be useful and may the force be with you...

This event brings you enigmatic quiz based on computers and technology. This will be an event which will test your knowledge of the latest happenings in the world of tech, and your depth of knowledge in the history of computing and trivia on related fields. Having said all that, we do still enjoy adding to our unconventional wisdom to the world of computer quizzing.

Let the battle of the ultimate quizzers begin!!!!!

 

 

The iQuiz shall have 2 member teams from different participating collages with no restrictions on the number of teams being sent for enrollment. There shall be 2 rounds for the event.

Round 1: Preliminary Round

The Preliminary Round will be on paper and will be divided into 2 sets of 1 hour each with a gap of 2 hours.

Set – I:

They say Knowledge is power, for those who believe they've got their facts better than most others, those who feel they know the most about the most, then we bring you the first set, which will be of general knowledge based objective type questions. So get those dormant grey cells activated.

No. Of Questions: 20 Questions
Credits: 1 for each correct answer
Time Limit: half hour
Maximum Credits: 20 credits

Set – II:

Are you ready to stretch yourself to the limit ?? Do you dare to go where no nerd has gone before, while you proudly proclaim to world "the geek shall inherit the earth". If the answer to the above questions is yes then we present you the second set, which will aim on the budding thinkers of this event. So come with your thinking caps on!!!! .

No. Of Questions: 3 Questions
Credits: 10 for each correct answer
Time Limit: half hour
Maximum Credits: 30 credits
Maximum Credits for the Preliminary Round: 50 credits.

The top 6 teams based on the score will be selected for the final round, which will be conducted on Day 2 of the event on the stage.

Round 2: Final Round

If you don't know the Answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything, then this event is definitely not for you. This event sees the top six teams from the written prelims battling it out in the stage rounds, on all things geeky. The final round will be the grand finale event with the teams from preliminarily round fighting for the top position. The team surviving 10 rounds, which will be aiming at different aspects of the diverse knowledge of computers shall take away the trophy and be the proud winner of the iQuiz event and will embark its victory in this symposium

 

  • Each round will be different. The nature of questions and the time allotted will be revealed along with the set as mentioned in the Problem statement.
  • The winner will be decided at the end of all rounds of quizzing. Whoever has the maximum number of point’s wins.
  • The participating teams are requested to be well equipped with the relevant stationary for the preliminary round. Borrowing shall not be permitted in the hall.
  • The enrolled teams are requested to be alert and aware of the event schedule being published on the event website.
  • The result from the organizers cannot be argued.
