Life is all about hurdles. Well, this event also deals with tough and challenging skills required in software development. You guys must all be familiar with JAVA and its vast areas of application. Java’s motto is “Write Once, Run Anywhere.” In order to accomplish this, Java has undergone many improvements and enhancements during the years of growth and popularity. This event manouvres around the skills in Applet programming and debugging. So boy’s n girls, here you have a wonderful opportunity to tackle the juggernauts that we unleash to you in JAVA.

 

This event comprises of two rounds which are:

Debugging

The first round will be an elimination round where only individual students are allowed to participate. No groups comprising two or above are allowed.
In this round, a written test will be conducted where students will be given 30 multiple choice questions to be solved in a total duration of 60 minutes. All of the 30 questions will be related to programming in basics of core in JAVA.

Applet Programming

The second round consists of Applet Programming for which 10 best students will be eligible to compete. Here the students would have to design an Applet relating to real world application. Attractive prizes are in store for the best Applet design.

Round 1: Debugging

• Participation restricted to single only. No teams of two or above participants are to be allowed.
• It is based on a written paper consisting of 30 Multiple Choice Questions, to be solved in a limited duration of 1 hour.
• 10 best students from the first round will be selected to participate in the second round.

Round 2: Applet Programming

• Participants are to design Applets of their own choice, and explain orally, the application.
• In this round, the participants will be given a total time duration of 1 hour.
